Edmodo: Edmodo is a global education network that helps connect all learners with the people and resources to reach their full potential. Edmodo is an educational technology company offering a communication, collaboration, and coaching platform to K-12 schools and teachers. Teacher can share content, quizzes, assignments and can communicate with students and parents through Edmodo. Edmodo is mostly a teacher-centric educational platform. Parents and students can join Edmodo by using the invitation code sent by the respective teacher.

Edmodo connects learners with people and resources to reach their full potential. Edmodo was founded by Nic Borg, Jeff O’Hara, and Crystal Hutter in 2008. Currently it has 87.4 million users around the globe. It is a different kind of social learning network for encouraging collaboration and sharing in the classroom.


User can create account in Edmodo for free in three different kinds_

1.     As Teacher
2.     As Student
3.     As Parent





Edmodo provides unlimited storage to create groups quickly to assign homework, schedule quizzes, manage progress and many more in one platform. It gives students new ways to engage, participate, and express themselves. Teacher can post discussion topics, make quizzes and conduct polls. Edmodo provides teachers the opportunity to take the complete control of their digital classroom. Teacher can determine who can join his/her groups, monitor member’s activity and make a paperless classroom. Edmodo brings the classroom to the living room.


Edmodo includes:

Students can join any teachers' group by using a code provided by the teacher. Students can see lesson related to the task. They can solve the question given in the Edmodo classroom. They can evaluate themselves by submitting the test. As well as they can ask the teachers to revise their answer. If teacher allow the students to revise the answer, they can re-write their answer. Teacher can set timer, which force the students to complete their task in given time.


Teacher can attach PDF file or Link in every given task which gives background knowledge to the students. In "Quiz" section, there are 5 more section,_ True or false, Multiple choice, Short answer, Matching, and Fill in the blanks. Teacher can add any kind of task in those section. The variation in quiz section encourage the students to complete the task and to learn new topic or lesson.


An education takes place in and out of the classroom. Thus, Edmodo mobile apps are available for Android, iPad, iPhone, and windows for free and secure to use whenever and wherever you want.
